Bridget Brako-Kusi, MNPL

Bridget Brako-Kusi, MNPL

Founder & Executive Director

As a first generation college graduate, Bridget understands the transformative power of education and the impact when access is limited. This experience shaped her belief that no girl’s potential should be constrained by circumstance, geography, or systemic inequality.

Driven by this conviction, she founded Global Girls Education Institute to expand access to quality education for girls across Africa. Through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership development, the organization supports girls not only in the classroom but also in becoming confident and capable leaders.

Bridget leads with a philosophy rooted in inclusion, empathy, and community engagement, ensuring that programs are designed to address real needs and create lasting impact. Her experience in advancement operations at the University of Washington has strengthened her ability to build effective and scalable programs.

At the core of her work is a commitment to ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to define her own future.

Albright Adu Baah

Board Member

Albright brings a strong background in social work, supply chain management, and project management. He holds a BA in Social Work & Sociology from the University of Ghana and a Master’s in Management Science & Supply Chain Management.

He has over ten years of professional experience across logistics, manufacturing, and operations, working with organizations such as Cargill, Amazon Logistics, and SC Johnson. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master.

In addition to his industry experience, Albright has taught in both the United States and Canada, focusing on project management and supply chain. He is passionate about helping learners develop practical skills through real-world application and interactive learning.

Brenda Adei Osei-Assibey, Ph.D

Board Member

Brenda is a nurse educator and academic with over 14 years of teaching experience at Central University in Ghana. A Full bright Scholar, she holds a Ph.D. in Nursing Science and is a registered general nurse.

She is deeply committed to mentoring students and empowering them to become critical thinkers and leaders through innovative and evidence-based teaching.

 

Her work extends beyond the classroom, where she actively contributes to breast cancer awareness and research focused on improving health outcomes for women.

Her dedication to education and advocacy aligns closely with the mission of supporting and empowering girls to reach their full potential.

Dr. Karen Hasford

Board Member

Dr. Karen Hasford’s commitment to girls’ empowerment is rooted in her upbringing and professional experiences. Growing up in Ghana, she witnessed many girls being forced to leave school due to financial challenges, lack of mentorship, and limited support systems.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and later earned her medical degree, building a career in healthcare and patient care. Throughout her journey, she has remained committed to mentoring young women and supporting their development.

Her work in community outreach, education, and mentorship reflects her belief that every girl deserves guidance, opportunity, and support. As a board member, she contributes to shaping programs that provide education, leadership development, and safe spaces for girls to grow and succeed.
