Global Girls Education Institute (GGEI)
Founded in 2026 in Everett, Washington, the Global Girls Education Institute (GGEI) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing girls' education and women's rights in Ghana and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Guided by a mission of education as liberation, dignity, and community empowerment, GGEI works to expand access to learning and strengthen the rights and wellbeing of girls and women. Our programming meets practical needs in schools and communities, from providing books and learning materials to hosting community education workshops, while building the foundation to address the barriers that keep girls out of the classroom, including harmful traditional practices.
In July 2024, GGEI hosted a pilot book drive and Education workshop at Pantang Basic School in the Greater Accra Region, reaching about 200 girls and distributing about 200 books and pens.
